BP Compare Privacy Policy

BP Compare helps users record and compare paired upper-arm and wrist blood pressure readings. The app does not require a separate BP Compare account or operate a developer backend.

Health and reading data

BP Compare stores information that you enter into the app, including patient identifiers or initials, upper-arm and wrist blood pressure and pulse readings, cuff side, device information, dates and times, and optional notes.

This information is used only to provide BP Compare’s recording, comparison, history, charting, and statistical features.

iCloud and CloudKit

BP Compare can synchronize your data between your Apple devices using Apple’s iCloud and CloudKit services.

Synced data is stored using Apple’s services. BP Compare does not operate a separate developer server that receives or stores your health data. Apple’s handling of iCloud and CloudKit data is governed by Apple’s privacy practices.

CSV import and export

BP Compare allows you to import and export data in CSV format. Imported files are processed for the purpose of adding the selected data to BP Compare. Exported files are created only when you request them, and you control where those files are saved, shared, or transmitted.

Advertising and tracking

BP Compare contains no advertising, third-party tracking, or third-party analytics SDK. It does not sell personal information or share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing companies.

Your choices and data deletion

You can edit or delete patient records and blood pressure readings from within BP Compare. Because BP Compare uses CloudKit synchronization, changes and deletions may synchronize across devices using the same iCloud account.

If you export BP Compare data, you are responsible for protecting the exported file and deciding where and with whom it is shared.

Medical information

BP Compare is a recording and comparison tool. It does not diagnose medical conditions, provide medical treatment, or replace the advice of a qualified healthcare professional. Do not use BP Compare as the sole basis for medical decisions.
